Letter from the President

A letter from the Sigma Beta President,

Joining the sisterhood of Alpha Omicron Pi has been the most important decision of my college career at Saint Joseph’s University. All I had intended to gain from joining a sorority was connections to get through college but I’ve been blessed to get so much more. I have been given friendships that will last a lifetime. Afterall, sisterhood is forever. The women I get to surround myself with make me want to be the best version of me that I can be. I’ve also been given leadership opportunities and skills that will help me in my future career.

Since I started serving as Chapter President, I’ve learned so much about both myself and what it takes to lead a group of intelligent women into becoming the best version of themselves. I’ve learned how to overcome challenges and how to be comfortable outside of my comfort zone. Everyday is a new adventure and I cannot wait to see what else we can learn together.

The best advice I have to give is try something new. You never know where something is going to take you. Like many others, I never imagined myself in Greek life and now I get to say I am the President of an organization I love with my whole heart. If I hadn’t tried something new, I would have never met the women I get to call my sisters, or learned what I have through leadership. Let yourself do something that can change the trajectory of your future. You only have so many years at Saint Joseph’s University, take it all in and make as many memories as you can.
