Letter from the President

A letter from the Sigma Beta President,

Becoming a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi was one of the best decisions I’ve made since coming to Saint Joseph’s University. I joined in an effort to make friends and find a place on campus, however, I received more than I ever expected. I have gained lifelong friends who push me to be the best version of myself every day, leadership opportunities that can be used in my future career, and a place where I found my best self.

As the Chapter President I’ve learned so much. I’ve learned how to lead amazing women to help them become the best versions of themselves, how to overcome obstacles and adversities, and how to be comfortable outside my comfort zone. This position has not only taught me how to be a leader but also how to be a friend.

The best advice I can give you is to take a leap of faith. If you are nervous or unsure about joining Greek life, I encourage you to learn more and look past the stereotypes. I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and try something you never imagined yourself doing because that is where the best things happen. Your time at Saint Joseph’s University will fly by, so be sure to soak in and enjoy every second you can.
